Black History Month Kickoff Program

The Christian Education Ministry of Hillside Presbyterian Church (USA) in collaboration with the First World (Africa) Productions will launch its Tenth Annual Black History Celebration on Saturday, February 1, 2020, at 4 p.m.  The title of the Celebration is “Total Praise” and it is directed and produced by Webster Wallace, PhD., Founder and CEO of First World (Africa) Productions.

“Total Praise” will feature the Joseph L. Roberts, Jr. Men’s Chorus of the historic Ebenezer Baptist Church, under the spiritual and talented leadership of its director, Mr. Maurice Seay; Mr. Trey Daniels, saxophonist; the Bell Choir of Hillside Presbyterian Church (USA), Ms. Althea Brown, director; Mr. Brenton Cox, of Zion Hill Baptist Church; Vessels of Fortitude Praise Dancers of the New Piney Grove Baptist Church (Decatur, GA), Ms.Tachika Parks & Ms. Kedra Fairweather, coordinators; and other participants.

“Total Praise” is in memory of the late Samuel H. Johnson and Edith V. Johnson.  It is FREE and OPEN to the Public! Tax-deductible donations benefit the Samuel H. Johnson SSSP Foundation, Inc. which awards scholarships to financially needed college and university students enrolled in institutions of higher learning in the Southeast.
