Food Pantry

For over 20 years Hillside Presbyterian Church has been providing food for the community via the Atlanta Community Food Bank, other organizations and individual donations.

January:    126 families/379 individuals served; 3450 pounds of food distributed
February:  104 families/311 individuals served; 2612 pounds of food distributed
March:  124 families/331 individuals served; 2947 pounds of food distributed
April:   118 families/334 individuals served; 2766 pounds of food distributed
May:  107 families/300 individuals served; 2899 pounds of food distributed
June:  177 families/520 individuals served; 4906 pounds of food distributed
July:  194 families/595 individuals served; 5563 pounds of food distributed
August:  223 families/618 individuals served; 6035 pounds of food distributed
September:  139 families/384 individuals served; 3878 pounds of food distributed
October:  182 families/577 individuals served; 4971 pounds of food distributed


The Food Pantry needs: canned meats (chicken, tuna, salmon, sardines, vienna sausages, potted meat, etc.), breakfast cereal, pasta, pasta sauce, canned fruit, peanut butter, canned soup …and we can always use your spare shopping bags. If you want to donate any of these items, please bring them to the Hillside Presbyterian Church office.

The Food Pantry also needs donations of whole grain and wheat bread.  Please bring sliced or whole loaves of bread on first Sunday to the church narthex. In John 6:35, Jesus declared, "I am the bread of life, whoever comes to me shall not hunger,..."
