Food Pantry

For the past 20 years Hillside Presbyterian Church has been providing food for the community via the Atlanta Community Food Bank, other organizations and individual donations.

January:    134 families/397 individuals served; 3875 pounds of food distributed
February:  125 families/363 individuals served; 3846 pounds of food distributed
March:  104 families/308 individuals served; 3082 pounds of food distributed
April:   103 families/301 individuals served; 3111 pounds of food distributed
May:  101 families/310 individuals served; 2882 pounds of food distributed
June:  102 families/314 individuals served; 3054 pounds of food distributed
July:   98 families/288 individuals served;  2951 pounds of food distributed
August:  117 families/425 individuals served; 4407 pounds of food distributed
September:  109 families/345 individuals served; 3088 pounds of food distributed
October:  142 families/448 individuals served; 4355 pounds of food distributed


The Food Pantry needs: canned meats (chicken, tuna, salmon, sardines, vienna sausages, potted meat, etc.), breakfast cereal, pasta, pasta sauce, canned fruit, peanut butter, canned soup …and we can always use your spare shopping bags. If you want to donate any of these items, please bring them to the Hillside Presbyterian Church office.

The Food Pantry also needs donations of whole grain and wheat bread.  Please bring sliced or whole loaves of bread on first Sunday to the church narthex. In John 6:35, Jesus declared, "I am the bread of life, whoever comes to me shall not hunger,..."
